CROWHILL
The Crowhill lead (+ "blende" = zinc) deposit was worked to a depth of
22 fathoms by a London financed enterprise between 1853 - 1854. There
is little now to be seen at this site, other than a very heavily overgrown
building (? workshop + office; photograph) close to a shallow depression,
which is presumed to mark the site of the shaft.
